The upgrade of this play park features on our Community Action Plan. Local children would like to see it being challenging and exciting.

Our local community council would like to upgrade the main play area in the town at Ardvonie Park. The project comes as the result of a recent community action plan(CAP) consultation within the town. It would be part of a bigger plan to improve the area from Gynack Road to Gynack Gardens.At the moment the paly area is sutable for children up to the age of 5/6 but offers little of interest to children of an older age group. The park is situated next to a car park where visitors stop ,have picnics and charge their EVs. Children go thro' the park on their way home from school.
This project will have a positive impact on the play facilites offered within the town.
To date mambers of the community council have spent time in school talking with the children about this things they might like. The children have produced art wiork to support their ideas and also used words such as challenging ,exciting and risky to describe what they would like to see in future. KVCC has had intial discussions with Amenities Officers from HC with more meetings scheduled. This information will be relayed to the children as it is so important that they know we are still working on the project.
