Businesses: Offer Support
BeSupported aims to make it easier for businesses to provide support that will have a genuine social, economic or environmental impact on local communities across Highland.
Whether you are a business operating in Highland, a Highland Council contractor or supplier, or have community benefit / social value commitments for other organisations, you can use the portal to deliver requests for specific goods, services or volunteering opportunities made by community, schools and nurseries across the Highland area.
Offers may include, but are not limited to:
- Practical support
- Skills sharing and mentoring
- Resources and equipment
- Community volunteering
- Employment and training opportunities
- Funding and sponsorship contributions

BeSupported gives you the opportunity to identify the local initiatives and causes most aligned with your company’s values and goals.
Every offer, big or small, has the potential to make a positive difference.
Who can be supported?
- Community groups
- Charities or Third Sector Organisations
- Voluntary organisations and social enterprises
- Highland schools and nurseries.
How it works
There are two routes for businesses.
- A business can offer support in response to a specific request from a community organisation or educational establishment. For a detailed overview of the process, please refer to the flowchart HERE

Please note that this platform is to support schools and nurseries in relation to small scale activities such as donations of supplies and materials. Activities in support of the school curriculum, work experience etc are managed directly.
