Elgol Hall is 30 years old in 2027 the metal roof needs replaced and an upgrade to the kitchen to a modern catering standard to attract greater use of the hall and make it more sustainable and safe.

1. We wish to replace the old kitchen with a new stainless steel compliant modern commercial kitchen that will meet all hygiene regulations which will allow us to have more food based events, e.g. weddings to help increase greater income for the hall. At present the kitchen is very old and unable to attract wedding groups and others wishing to run events. The metal roof is also very rusty and needs replacing. This woould allow us to improve the insulation, add more solar panels to make us more eco friendly and upgrade roof space plumbing etc to meet health and safety legislation with tanks etc. • 2. These reonavtions will safeguard the hall for the next 30 years of its life (our 30 years anniversary is in 2027). It is a vital part of the community and the commitee has worked hard in these 30 years to raise money for ongoing projects e.g. recent spends on upgrade of fire alarms (£7K and new floor to allow the continued use of sport that was £8K. However our annual fundraising is not enough to pay for these larger cost renovations • 3. With a new kitchen and upgraded roof we can then really promote the hall as a centre for larger events and safeguard its furture. To make the hall more viable we feel this upgrade in terms of safety and useablitiy will allow both the hall to be a better space to hire but also help safeguard it future.• 4. We have started a fund raising campaign and will promote that further this year and next, we plan an increased rolling programme of events. We have the backing of the village in our endevours and started the process of obtaining quotations for work and design. We are applying to some private funds from e.g. Asda fund, Coop fund, Mowi and SSE • 5. aim to start early 2027 completion Summer 2027.
