Summary

Munlochy Childcare seeks funding to replace a rotten sandpit with a new outdoor sand play area, giving children opportunities to explore, create, learn and play through hands-on outdoor experiences.

Estimated Cost

£1,800

Full Project Details & Description

Munlochy Childcare is seeking funding to replace a much-loved outdoor sandpit that has reached the end of its lifespan. The existing wooden sandpit was originally built into the natural garden environment and provided an invaluable space for children's play, learning and exploration. Unfortunately, the structure has now become completely rotten and unsafe for use, meaning children have lost access to one of their favourite outdoor play experiences.

We are seeking support to safely remove the existing sandpit, which is securely built into the garden and will require professional landscaping expertise, and to install a new large wooden sandpit or similar natural sand play area.

Sand play is a fundamental part of early childhood development, offering endless opportunities for creativity, discovery and learning. A replacement sandpit would restore a key feature of our outdoor environment and provide children with a stimulating space where they can explore, create, investigate and collaborate through play.

This project will ensure that current and future generations of children can continue to benefit from high-quality outdoor learning experiences in a safe and engaging environment.
