1. Executive Summary
The Badenoch Community Project (BCP) is a Company Limited by Guarantee with Scottish Charitable Status. Following community consultation, BCP proposes the redevelopment of part of the unused “Old Putting Green” on Spey Street, Kingussie into a modern, community-focused Padel court with associated parking and public-access improvements. The site is currently Common Good Land under the stewardship of Highland Council.
Padel is one of the fastest-growing sports worldwide, offering significant physical, mental, and social wellbeing benefits. At the time of planning, this project would deliver the first Padel court in the Highlands, serving both the local community and the substantial visitor population drawn to the Cairngorms National Park.
